COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is aimed at all skill levels of Technicians, Validation Engineers etc. new to using ROBOSHOT, but who have at least some moulding experience. The participant should gain a good understanding of the ROBOSHOT machine principles and operating system. Develop confidence to safely install and program a new tool for production.

SUBJECTS COVERED

  • Brief Introduction to FANUC and FANUC products

  • Basic machine structure and controls

  • Review and discuss tool installation procedures and practical complete Clamp end machine set up

  • Consider clamp end options such as Valve gate control, core pull, Pre Injection function etc.

  • Advanced Mould Protection and Ejector Protection system. –Vital to understand correctly

  • Barrel Temperature, soak timer, shutdown management, Screw / tip breakage protection system

  • Manual Purging and Auto purging options and detail

  • Detailed understanding of the Inject and screw rotation phases

  • Practical set up and produce parts to specification

  • Introduce graphs for injection pressure, speed and other movements

  • Set up trend charts to monitor process stability. Use to review if process changes affect stability. Use process monitor to tolerance variables and how to stop machine if tolerances are exceeded

  • Discuss reasons that may contribute towards process and shot weight variation

  • Overview of ROBOSHOT Advanced features that may help to achieve extraordinary stable moulding conditions
